Our guide (Todd) knew the island, he had a tour, but allowed our small group to have input which was nice, since it was a beautiful day and most of us wanted to kayak around looking for the horses, rather than go clamming. I don't know of anywhere to rent the equipment needed, however, there is a Walmart on Rt. 50 about 4 miles from the Rt. 50 bridge (the one entering OC).
