WebJul 30, 2012 · I just wish the Dana 20 shifted as smooth as the 203. With an NP435 and 4.56 gears, in my opinion, it would be a waste of money to put the gears in. I looked into it and decided against it. Your going to be about 130:1 without new gears correct? Any lower would make it so your lowest gear is too low and your next lowest gear isn't low enough. And a new bell housing and resized my drive shafts but couldn't be happier Montgomery J Yarbrough, Jul 19, 2024 #13 WebMay 12, 2008 · Be aware that the Teralow kit comes with just about everything to rebuild the Dana 20 except for the bearings. I bought a master rebuild kit and have everything but the bearings still sitting in my garage. Considering the cost of the bearings, that was a waste of over $100. WebFeb 21, 2016 · When I did my Tera Low, before putting the case back in the jeep, the gears came out a few times until I finally got it right. The front output shaft shims are on the outside of the case in the back, held in under a 4 bolt plate and are very critical, as is seating the bearings. Follow the instructions very closely when doing this part. WebJan 13, 2011 · Go Atlas so you can have the variety of gears, because lower low range gears in a D20 will leave a big hole between high and the new low range.
