Web21 Oct 2015 · Check the power options in the bios. You computer can't "sleep" if c3 etc is disabled. Update the PC's Bios Replace the monitor cable. Try a different monitor. Try a discrete graphics card. Try with no mouse plugged in (some optical\laser mice are twitchy) That's a few things i didn't see mentioned. flag Report Web20 Aug 2024 · Basically yes that's right - if the monitor detects a connection has been made, but there's no signal on that connection then it goes to sleep (as it assumes you've switched off the PC / laptop that is on the other end of the connection).
