WebMay 11, 2024 · Who was the god of the Incas? Inti Inti, also called Apu-punchau, in Inca religion, the sun god; he was believed to be the ancestor of the Incas. Inti was at the head of the state cult, and his worship was imposed throughout the Inca empire. Inca cosmology was ordered in three spatio-temporal levels or Pachas. These included: • Uku Pacha ("the lower world") was located within the earth's surface. • Kay Pacha was the world in which we live. • Hanan Pacha ("higher world") was the world above us where the sun and moon lived.
